你 會 怎麼 做 ?

在寒冬中一個冷冽的日子，星期天教堂旁的停車位很快就滿了。

當我走下車後，我注意到教友們低聲談論不知道在說些什麼?

當我更靠近時我看到一個依偎在教堂牆角的男人，他整個身體躺下似乎在睡覺的樣子。

他穿著一件十分破爛的長外套，戴著頂帽子，剛好遮住他的臉。

他穿的鞋子彷彿有30年的歷史，穿著一雙滿是破洞的鞋子，腳指頭都露出來了。

我判斷這個人是個游民所以我走過他身旁進入教堂。

我們教友間彼此寒喧了數分鐘，有位教友提到那位躺在外面的男人。

人們竊竊私語著，但沒有一個人想自找麻煩到外面請他進來，包括我在內。

數分鐘之後教堂禮拜開始了，我們都等待牧師就位講道。

教堂的門開啟了，那位游民走進了中間走道，頭低低地垂著。

很多人都很吃驚，低聲交談並拉長了臉。

而這個男人居然走上了講壇，他脫下他的帽子與外套。

我的心整個沉了下來，那就是我們的牧師!

他就是那個「游民」! 沒有人開口說話。

牧師拿起了聖經放在台子上:

「弟兄姊妹們，我不認為我今天需要告訴你們我要講什麼道了。」

WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE?

It was a cold winter's day that Sunday. The parking lot to the church was filling up quickly. I noticed as I got out of my car that fellow church members were whispering among themselves as they walked to the church.

As I got closer I saw a man leaned up against the wall outside the church.

He was almost laying down as if he was asleep. He had on a long trench coat that was almost in shreds and a hat topped his head, pulled down so you could not see his face. He wore shoes that looked 30 years old, too

small for his feet with holes all over them, his toes stuck out. I assumed this man was homeless, and asleep, so I walked on by through the doors of the church.

We all had fellowship for a few minutes, and someone brought up the man laying outside. People snickered and gossiped but no one bothered to ask him to come in, including me.

A few moments later church began. We all waited for the Pastor to take his place and to give us the Word, when the doors to the church opened. In came the homeless man walking down the aisle with his head down. People gasped and whispered and made faces. He made his way down the aisle and up onto the pulpit. He took off his hat and coat. My heart sank. There stood our pastor...he was the "homeless man."

No one said a word. The pastor took his Bible and laid it on the stand.

"Folks, I don't think I have to tell you what I am preaching about today."
