許多人放棄從事服務的工作是因為他們將自我的形象、聲名、人們對自己的尊敬、舒適與便利置於自己的目標之上。

當人們未從服務中獲得好的地位、或被羞辱、或感覺未得到所期望獲得的東西，以及當他們把工作目標的達成視為是種掙扎而非挑戰時，人們就會躲避服務。

因此，世間僅有少數的人能夠成功地達成他們的目標。

Many people quit doing seva as they put their self-image, prestige, respect, comfort and convenience ahead of their goal.

That is how in groups people shy away from seva -- when they don't get a position, when they get insulted, when they feel they are not getting what they expected out of it, and when they consider their goal as a struggle rather than a challenge.

And that is why only few people in the world succeed in reaching their goal.
